NOW HIRING – Class A Driver    -   North Franklin, CT

Job description

We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Class A driver to run a dedicated Over the Road (OTR) route. $2400 per trip, 26 to 32 trips per year, with over 20 weeks of home time! Possibility of picking up additional trips.

  • BioTrans LLC is a global logistics provider specializing in cold chain transportation, technology and infrastructure for the life sciences industry.

    • Responsibilities:

  • Driving Automatic 53" trailer with reefer. Newer vehicles (2020 or newer Freightliner Cascadia)

  • Cross Country/On The Road (OTR), driving with another driver as a Team

  • Comply with DOT regulations - Tablet for E-logs are provided in trucks

  • Communicate with Dispatch to receive delivery instructions

  • Inspect the vehicle for mechanical and safety concerns and perform preventative maintenance (pre-trip/ post-trip inspections) as required by Federal and State Transportation standards and regulations

  • Climb in and out of trucks repeatedly with no difficulties

  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, twist, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and prolonged sitting while driving

  • Must be okay with Team Driving

    • Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must be 21+ years of age

  • Possess a valid Class A driver's license and a current DOT Medical certification card

  • Preferred clean driving record - No driving-related suspension, revocation or cancellation, no disqualifying offenses, no more than 3 moving violations or at fault accidents in the last 3 years (Due to insurance)

  • One (1+) year driving tractor-trailer experience or will accept CDL students out of school

  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

  • Must pass a drug/alcohol screen and background check

  • Basic computer, tablet and/or smartphone skills, GPS and familiar with scanning devices

  • Problem solve basic logistics issues
